Classic Smith Wooton Cabernet Franc with aromas of dark red fruit, earth, and perfume. The wine exudes confidence with bold fruit on the palate and a leather and cedar background. The wine closes with a long finish of dried herbs and tobacco.Winemaker Notes
Cabernet Franc has always been one of my favorite varietals, and the 2021 clearly shows why. While Cabernet Franc has a reputation of being difficult to produce as a single varietal, I love the challenge and reward. This wine is going to be one of our signature vintages.Pairings
This wine is extremely versatile with food. It pairs well with everything from roasted poultry to pork and beef. A personal favorite of ours is to pair this wine with lamb. The slight gamey notes from the lamb play perfect with the rustic and earthy tones in the Cabernet Franc.Wine Profile
