This wine is all about structure. It is deep and complex with all the dark and bramble notes you expect. This wine opens with blackberry and black currant. This reserve wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford and Oakville in Napa Valley. The Rutherford vineyard is known for adding an earthy component to the wine. Some people refer to this attribute as "Rutherford Dust." It lends a rustic nature to the wine. On the other hand, Oakville is famous for bringing complex and deep fruit flavors. Each vineyard was harvested separately and fermented individually. After 2 years of aging, the wines were blended based on the winemakers preference. The wine was then aged an additional two years to allow the flavors to integrate and the tannins to soften slightly.Pairings
