Grapes for the 2017 Vintners Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon came from a small family owned vineyard in the Coombsville AVA. The Coombsville AVA is Napa's most southern AVA thus the region benefits from marine breezes coming off the nearby San Pablo Bay, as well as a long and cool growing season due to its location in the valley. This extended ripening period gives this wine its signature silkiness, unmistakable blue and black fruit and pronounced acidity

Tasting Notes

The 2017 CROZE Vintners Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville captures classic Coombsville lushness, dark fruits and a palate with a plush texture and fresh acidity. This wine reflects the depth and complexity of the cool climate and extended growing season only enhanced by extended barrel aging. Don’t hurry--let it develop on your palate.

Production Notes

The grapes were hand-picked, crushed and fermented in small lots to preserve fruit character and prevent extraction of harsh tannins. October 08, 2017, the wine was moved to barrel using 1/2 new, 1/2 once filled French Oak barrels from the Nevers forest. The wine was racked twice yearly until bottling. After 24 months of oak aging, the wine was bottled. Since then it has rested in bottle, allowing the flavors to mature. This 100% single vineyard Coombsville Cabernet expresses.
