2019 Croze Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
TASTING NOTES:
Winemaker Daniel Benton’s emphasis on balance and elegance is showcased in this lovely Old-World Style Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This fine wine is a beautiful balance of red and dark fruit character along with all the earth aroma’s that make the Napa Valley such a special place for cabernet. The aromas are reminiscent of an early morning stroll through a blackberry patch with hints of tobacco and plum. On the finish there are spice notes of licorice and anise with a subtle cigar box charm followed by cocoa powder tannins. This fine wine is approachable now, but will age gracefully for many years.
Vineyard Notes
Following a slow fermentation the wine was racked to barrel using 1/3 new, 1/3 once filled, and 1/3 neutral French Oak barrels. The wine was allowed to age gracefully for 28 months prior to bottling.28Wine Profile
