2019 Croze Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

CROZE Cabernet sauvignon follows the Croze philosophy of balance and elegance. Here is a wine with its roots deep in the Napa Valley with grapes grown in three distinct AVA’s. Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville, Rutherford, and Howell Mountain combine to create this distinct wine.

Following a slow fermentation the wine was racked to barrel using 1/3 new, 1/3 once filled, and 1/3 neutral French Oak barrels. The wine was allowed to age gracefully for 28 months prior to bottling.

Winemaker Daniel Benton’s emphasis on balance and elegance is showcased in this lovely Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Its Bordeaux heritage is evident in the finesse and finish. While imminently drinkable now, it has the structure to be aged for as long as you can stand to wait. The Croze Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley displays classic notes with a rich complexity. This wine is a beautiful balance of red and dark fruit character along with all the earth aroma’s that make the Napa Valley such a special place for cabernet. The aromas are reminiscent of an early morning stroll through a blackberry patch with hints of tobacco and plum. On the finish there are spice notes of licorice and anise with a subtle cigar box charm followed by cocoa powder tannins. This is approachable now, but will age gracefully for many years.
